A 4th Generation North Denver, Colorado resident. I have spent Many years in Texas and the District of Columbia experiencing firsthand the results of traumas through environment, culture, crime and economics. I have been on both sides of the issues of crime and mental health and have been able to survive and overcome being impacted by a system designed to allow inequities to reinforce recidivism and socio-economic disparities among communities of color. I am currently a community consultant in the Globeville and Sunnyside Neighborhoods of the city and am also a part of the Public Health for Public Safety community Leadership Team.
